Through wheel thrown and slip casting techniques Jarrod Cahill creates artwork that reflects elements of the natural environment, as well as the contemporary industrial spaces in which pottery is often made. Acceptance of imperfection is central to Jarrods work. Through an explorative approach to applying learnt technique and design elements Jarrod embraces the unpredictability of his medium. Viewers are invited to disregard preconceptions and instead undertake a new and emergent approach to consuming ceramics.
