Brian has been a member of the Woodturners Society of Queensland for 20 years and has served on the WSQ Management Committee for 10 years, including five years as Treasurer and three as President. Brian’s woodturning interests include many artistic forms, mainly bowls of all shapes and sizes, but also vases and platters. His favourite woodturning timbers include Jacaranda, Southern Silky Oak, Australian Red Cedar, Bunya, Olive, Mango, Huon Pine, Macadamia and Burls. Brian’s work aims to highlight the natural beauty of timber, using pyrography and carving as enhancements to a limited extent.
