Avi Amesbury is an established ceramic artist with an international profile and is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC). Her practice is inspired by the Australian landscape and she uses found materials dug from a variety of locations to create objects that explore connection to place.
Her work has been selected for national and international exhibitions andacquired for public and private collections.
She undertook three-months study at Hong-Ik University in Seoul (2000), was artist-in-residence at Benyamini Contemporary Ceramic Centre in Tel Aviv (2017), Fremantle Art Centre (2022) and Central Craft, Mparntwe/Alice Springs (2023).
Her Black + White Porcelain Tableware collection is designed and hand-decorated using a sgrifitto technique, and can be purchased as single pieces or in mix and match sets so craft lovers can add to their collection over time.
