Avi Amesbury is an established ceramic artist with an international profile and is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC). Her practice is inspired by the Australian landscape and she uses found materials dug from a variety of locations to create objects that explore connection to place.
Her work has been selected for national and international exhibitions and acquired for public and private collections.
She undertook three-months study at Hong-Ik University in Seoul (2000), was artist-in-residence at Benyamini Contemporary Ceramic Centre in Tel Aviv (2017), Fremantle Art Centre (2022) and Central Craft, Mparntwe/Alice Springs (2023).
Her Black + White Porcelain Tableware collection is designed and hand-decorated using a sgraffito technique and can be purchased as single pieces or in mix and match sets so craft lovers can add to their collection over time.
