artisan is Queensland’s premier craft and design organisation.

The makers are central to everything we do.

 

Craft Queensland was established in 1970 to champion craft practices across the state and expanding in 2007 to include designers of objects, furniture and lighting. This evolution led to our rebranding as artisan, a creative social enterprise dedicated to servicing and showcasing Queensland’s finest makers and designers from emerging to established. 

artisan hosts exhibitions, community social workshops, professional development, residency opportunities and our retail store. 

Queensland is a Makers' State - artisan continually collaborates across Queensland to honour represent the breadth and depth of emerging, developing and established talent here. When you collect, commission or curate with artisan, you are directly supporting the makers and designers of Queensland.
