Theresa Darmody relocated to Brisbane 5 years ago as a painter. Seeking to include some sculptural pieces in an exhibition at the time, she attended a carving workshop, which got her hooked on carving!
Theresa’s paintbrushes and paints are now in storage and she finds herself carving every day. She enjoys making functional pieces such as spoons, combs, and bowls as well as purely sculptural objects. She is fascinated by the form of the object and the nature of each piece of wood.
