Gerhard Herbst
Sunshine Coast, Queensland
Born in 1959, Gerhard began making jewellery at age 15. After receiving his degree from San Diego State University, Gerhard established his jewellery business in San Diego in 1984.
Traditionally trained as a metalsmith, Gerhard often stretches the boundaries of jewellery making in both function and design. His intuitive understanding of the sculptural form is an apparent feature of his work.
