Nina is a textile artist with a passion for plants and a deep love and appreciation for the natural world. Using plants and natural dye sources she creates eco dyed, natural fibre wearable art, aiming to reconnect us with our natural environment. The landscapes and colours of the North Queensland tropical forests inspire her work and she creates them all in her rainforest studio by the sea.
Dyeing and creating artwork with plants melds together by two passions – Art and the environment. Nina has a background in Science and have spent many years working with plants and Australian indigenous communities, which has also greatly inspired her work and the way she looks at the world.
