As a first opportunity for our member community, this call out is open exclusively to artisan professional associates. We are seeking up to seven mid-career and established artists, makers and designers whose work demonstrates excellence in contemporary craft practice. Through diverse materials and approaches, the exhibition is designed to inspire regional makers and collectors by revealing the extraordinary possibilities that emerge when technical mastery, creative inquiry and material curiosity come together. You and your practice will be showcasing the strength and diversity of Queensland's craft and design sector.
The exhibition program includes
- An opening event in Roma (travel and per diem x 2 days 1 night accommodation)
- A Saturday program of artist talks, workshops and/or public activities.
Selected makers will receive
- Artist fees in line with NAVA recommendations.
- Professional installation.
- Professional photographic documentation for your CV and folio.
- Transport and insurance of work to and from Roma, by negotiation.
