Information
Bethany emerges a physical interpretation of her connections, sculpted from clay, grounding her practice in the geography of Quandamooka Country. Three spouts rise—entry and exit points that honour the three clans of Moreton Saltwater Country: Ngugi, Nunukul, and Goenpul. Each one speaks to a lineage held in place and passed through generations.
Holding Quandamooka physicalises Bethany’s belonging. The vessel echoes the body of Country itself—whole, breathing, and enduring. Here, contemporary form flows with traditional knowledge, where function meets memory, and material becomes a bridge between now and always.
