We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Manager to join the artisan team, 3-4 days per week!
Do you have excellent knowledge of retail, particularly within the area of online? Do you have great attention to detail? Are you able to spot trends and make data driven decisions? This could be the position for you!
Our Retail Manager will also coordinate, develop and grow the retail activities for the organisation creating a dynamic and welcoming environment for visitors to artisan stores and galleries, and inspire staff to generate sales.
MAJOR DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Coordinate all operational and logistical aspects of the store including sales, stock control, display, maintenance, etc.
- Develop and coordinate an annual retail program including Artisan Collects and new initiates that promote sales.
- Assist the Administrator in the financial administration of the store.
- Report to the retail budget and proactively seek store commissions to increase sales revenue.
- Undertake product and artist sourcing through proactive research and consultation with other staff.
- Coordinate staff rosters, store targets and supervise casual retail staff
- Ensure knowledge of exhibition and products is up to date and communicated appropriately to casual staff.
- Assist in the ongoing development of retail policy as required.
- Review and develop Procedures Manual relevant to retail operations.
- Build a retail customer base and initiate associated activities for extending sales, including VIP lists, retail events etc.
- Manage all sales from the exhibition program and any external retail displays.
- Attend events and exhibition openings as required.
- Development and execution of retail strategy development.
