Brisbane-based potter and silversmith, Zaida Variava of Zed Ceramics, makes wheel-thrown and hand-built ceramic pieces and unique handmade jewellery.
Her ceramic work is mostly made of earthy stoneware clays that speak to the natural origins of the materials and fired in a solar and battery-powered kiln. Zaida’s jewellery is made of recycled sterling silver and includes brass, copper, glass and handmade ceramic components.
