Creina Moore is a ceramic artist who draws inspiration from the natural environment to produce wood, gas and raku fired pieces.
She has her own wood-fired, raku and gas kilns on North Stradbroke Island. Creina’s vessels are slip cast in terracotta and painted with a white slip. They are then carved revealing the soft colour of the terracotta.
“The goal with my ceramics is that each piece has its own personality; that it is designed to be strong, durable, food-safe, and able to be used daily. It is fired to stoneware temperatures with glazes that are nontoxic.” Creina Moore
