The Mini-Bird Series is a growing collection of small-scale ceramic sculptures celebrating the charm and character of Australian native birds. Each piece is hand-formed in stoneware, painted with underglazes, and mounted on a round of natural wood with steel wire legs.
The birds chosen for this series are ones the artist has either encountered in the wild and felt a strong connection with — or dreams of one day seeing. Sculpted in miniature, the works reflect the artist’s deep affection for birds: their expressions, their presence, and the small moments of joy they bring.
