Additional Information

Material
American walnut is one of the few exotic timbers that I carve. It always has a distinctive grain pattern and beautiful chocolatey colouring. The lighter sections on this vase are sapwood, the softer and lighter wood close to the bark. The vase took many days to hand carve using a drawknife, carving knife, and spokeshave and then many hours of sanding. Finished with hempseed oil and beeswax.

Dimensions
20.5 x 25.5 x 5 cm

Information
Hand-carved wooden vase, for dry arrangements.
