Ruby Yu-Lu Yeh
Brisbane, Queensland
Ruby Yu-Lu Yeh is a Taiwanese-Australian ceramic artist based in Meanjin/Brisbane. Blending wheel-thrown and hand-built technique, her work weave function and sculpture into quiet vessels of reflection. Guided by her Eastern heritage and Western education, she explores memory, duality, and stillness.
Ruby has exhibited in Australia, Japan, the USA, and Taiwan. She was a finalist in the National Emerging Art Prize (2021, 2023), received a Highly Commended in the Siliceous Award (2023), and won the City of Townsville Art Collection Award (2024). Ruby also worked as the assistant editor for The Journal of Australian Ceramics Vol 63 No 3, November 2024.
Note: All available-for-purchase artworks featured in Ode - to Gwyn exhibition can be collected at the end of September.
