Jude Muduioa

Jude Muduioa is a ceramicist, living in Brisbane, Australia. Her practice explores the assumptions around materiality and balance. Muduioa has exhibited in Brisbane, Sydney, Tasmania, Townsville, New Zealand and USA. Her work is held in private collections in the Australia, USA, New Zealand and Germany.
Muduioa is currently studying with Cohorts.Art, under the mentorship of Chanakarn Punch Semachai. In 2024 she studied with other artist from the States in the Cohorts.Art’s, Sculpture Continuum, Alumni Program. In 2023 she studied with Simon Levin in the Cohort.Art Mentorship.
She regularly enters competitions and exhibits, including, North Coast Ceramic Award 2025, where she won Best Emerging Artist, Finalist in Siliceous, Award for Ceramic Excellence, 2025, North Queensland Ceramic Awards 2024, Bay of Fires Art Award 2024, Georges River Art Prize 2023 and National Emerging Art Prize 2021.
Muduioa is fascinated by the nature of clay, its ability to be shaped into almost anything and it’s inherent ability to connect people. She loves the process of atmospheric firing and the resulting organic finishes found on the surfaces of her vessels. Her work is often a conversation around experimentation and materiality, resulting in work that defy’s and challenges conventional assumptions of clay.
