MADE 55: artisan, a legacy of our making

Celebrating Fifty-Five Years of Queensland Craft and Design!

Join us for MADE 55, an unforgettable evening celebrating 55 years of making and creativity in Queensland.

Since 1970, artisan has championed the bold, the beautiful, and the innovative in craft and design — a hub for jewellers, textile artists, ceramicists, designers, and dreamers alike. From lace to zines, zero-waste fashion to cutting-edge design, artisan’s legacy is woven into the fabric of Queensland’s creative culture.

Now it’s time to celebrate – and we want you to be part of it!

MADE 55: A one-night-only reunion honouring the makers, stories, and spirit of artisan
Friday 20 June, 2025
6 – 9 PM

MADE 55 ARCHIVE

Add to the Archive. Share the Spotlight.

To honour the past and inspire the next 55 years of Queensland’s vibrant making culture we are inviting you to collaborate on an important ongoing project with us.

As part of MADE 55, we’re launching the MADE 55 ARCHIVE – a living digital collection celebrating the people, stories, and objects shaping artisan’s 55-year journey.

We’re calling on you – our makers, past exhibitors, audiences and friends to help us tell the full story – especially from the 1970s to early 2000s. Have a rummage and share your:

  • Event photos and behind-the-scenes images
  • Posters, flyers, catalogues, and press clippings
  • Studio and workspace shots
  • Maker stories – the people, places, and moments that made it real

🌐 Submit your newer or older photos and materials here: MADE 55 ARCHIVE.
