Rosie Bird is a Brisbane-based artist, originally from South London. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Art (Hons) from QLD College of Art and a Bachelor of Arts from Curtin University. After being introduced to pottery in 2023, her practice evolved from painting to ceramics, embracing clay as a medium for exploration.
Rosie is concerned with the "little things," details that seem unmonumental but reverberate greatly in daily life. Driven by a philosophy that art is a lens to observe and question, her practice reflects on relationships, cause and effect, and the unseen forces shaping the natural world.
Note: All available-for-purchase artworks featured in Ode - to Gwyn exhibition can be collected at the end of September.
