artisan is a not-for profit organization that focuses on supporting craftspeople and designers to build financially sustainable practices. Fundraising is an essential part of our financial mix, allowing us to continue our annual exhibition and events program and enter into exciting creative projects and partnerships.
Donations to artisan (Craft Queensland) directly impact Queensland practitioners, and play an important role in preserving important skills for future generations. Did you know every donation over $2 is tax deductible?
Our programs enable craft and design professionals to share and promote their work, and ultimately create independent incomes through sustainable practices. The more programs we conduct each year, the more artists can move their practices towards financial independence. Additional funding will also enable Artisan to provide better access to artists and designers from remote and regional communities; develop opportunities for young people to engage with craft and design; help us to build and support our creative community; and allow artisan to engage in innovative cultural and creative projects.
