Known for her love of still life, form and function, Gwyn has left an indelible legacy that is in the hearts of all Queensland, and indeed Australian potters.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e‘Ode’, by definition, is a lyrical poem, with varying length and style, usually addressed or musing on a person or thing. Other parasitic wasps exploit these galls, injecting their own eggs to parasitise the larvae within. The collection of vases relates to each other by the shell-like or petal-like attachment, each containing a piece of clay from another vessel - remnants of clay left behind on throwing bats during the making process. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eFired in now almost 30 years old Hua-Shi Kiln, the accumulation of natural glaze from the internal wall occasionally drips down as \"kiln sweat\" on the new work, which now holds many years of firing memory of the kiln. The vessels speak a metaphor to embrace both the obvious and unseen challenges we face, individually and collectively.
