About the workshop:
Learn how to hand-carve beautiful wooden spoons under the guidance of experienced furniture maker and wood carver, Carol Russell.
This hands-on workshop will introduce you to working with quality carving tools and timber. Carol will teach you basic carving techniques, tool sharpening and timber finishing.
Skill level: Suitable for beginners or people wanting to extend their hand carving skills.

Your own hand-carved wooden spoon to take home
Prepared native timber species blank to carve
All tools, materials and safety equipment are provided

About Carol Russell:
Carol has over 25 years experience as a furniture maker, antique restorer and teacher. Carol’s on-going love for timber led her to hand carving smaller objects like wooden spoons and knives, wooden vessels and milking stools. Based in Queensland, Carol travels Australia-wide teaching carving workshops. Carol’s stunning work has been exhibited widely, including in artisan’s Marketplace exhibition curated by Melinda Gagen.

Workshop Cancellation Policy:
Please note this workshop can be cancelled by artisan due to unforeseen circumstances or if minimum numbers are not reached. In this event participants will be refunded accordingly and as soon as possible.
Participant Cancellation Policy:
Workshops have limited spaces and involve preparation by the facilitator.
Bookings cancelled up to one week prior to the start of the workshop may be refunded, but a 20% non-refundable administration fee will be deducted.
Bookings cancelled within a week of the workshop commencing will NOT be refunded.
You are welcome to transfer your booking to another person prior to the workshop commencing. Please confirm this arrangement in writing to email@example.com.
