About the workshop:
This holiday season, send your Christmas greetings to loved ones on cards of your very own design! In this workshop, Chris & Claudia from Grey Hand Press will teach you the basics of relief printmaking with an introduction to lino printing. The duo will guide you through the process of designing, carving, inking and hand or press printing. You will also be advised on how to hand-colour your prints and options for printing papers. At the end, you’ll leave with your own unique set of cards on quality card stock, and your finished lino block to keep for use in future, as well as the knowledge and ability to print more at home. Your image will be 10 x 15 on an A5 card. We recommend simple designs in the time of the class, but you could always cut in more detail and texture working at home afterward!
Included in workshop ticket:
At checkout, you can opt to add on an extra lino-block or tools to purchase ($18). These are also available to purchase with cash or card at the workshop.

Grey Hand Press is a printmaking studio founded by practicing artists Chris Hagen and Claudia Husband. The studio provides contract printing and publishing options for local and international artists. Their mission is to make printmaking an accessible medium for artists, and to provide fine art print education to printmakers of all ages. Skill Level: No experience or skills required
Please be assured artisan has well considered COVID-safe protocols regarding our workshop programming. You will be offered socially distanced seating, access to your own PPE sanitation options at your workspace, and a large extremely well-ventilated workshop venue.
Workshop Cancellation Policy:
Please note this workshop can be cancelled by artisan due to unforeseen circumstances or if minimum numbers are not reached. In this event participants will be refunded accordingly and as soon as possible.
Participant Cancellation Policy:
Workshops have limited spaces and involve preparation by the facilitator. Bookings cancelled up to one week prior to the start of the workshop may be refunded, but a 20% non-refundable administration fee will be deducted. Bookings cancelled within a week of the workshop commencing will NOT be refunded.
Workshop Transfer Policy:
You may transfer your booking into an alternative workshop up to one week prior to the start of the workshop. Any difference in cost will be charged accordingly. Please endeavour to complete any transfers at least one week prior to the workshop.
You are also welcome to transfer your booking to another person prior to the workshop commencing. Please confirm this arrangement in writing to email@example.com.
