Cost: $110 per person, limited to 8 places

 

About the workshop:

In this workshop, Lisa Guy will introduce you to the art of loom weaving. Right from the basics of warp & weft, through to how to finish your weave, how to take your weaving off the loom and how to hang your work. Lisa will show you numerous weaving techniques to create your unique design, using beautiful wool and cotton yarns to create your own unique design. You will get take home instructions as well, and because the class size is small you’ll get plenty of one-on-one assistance from Lisa.

About the Lisa Guy:

Lisa has been creating and making with her hands for over 30 years; she finds it relaxing, satisfying and a source of great joy and constant learning. Craft became a hobby and creative outlet for Lisa while she worked and raised a family, but it has now evolved into her full-time job and passion. From loom weaving to crochet, macramé to basket weaving, Lisa loves to use natural textiles to create unique pieces. Lisa shares her skills and passion for craft through her fantastic workshops.

Skill Level: This workshop is suitable for beginners

Please be assured artisan has well considered COVID-safe protocols regarding our workshop programming. You will be offered socially distanced seating, access to your own PPE sanitation options at your workspace, and a large extremely well-ventilated workshop venue.

Workshop Cancellation Policy:

Please note this workshop can be cancelled by artisan due to unforeseen circumstances or if minimum numbers are not reached. In this event participants will be refunded accordingly and as soon as possible.

Participant Cancellation Policy:

Workshops have limited spaces and involve preparation by the facilitator. Bookings cancelled up to one week prior to the start of the workshop may be refunded, but a 20% non-refundable administration fee will be deducted. Bookings cancelled within a week of the workshop commencing will NOT be refunded.

Workshop Transfer Policy:

You may transfer your booking into an alternative workshop up to one week prior to the start of the workshop. Any difference in cost will be charged accordingly. Please endeavour to complete any transfers at least one week prior to the workshop.

You are also welcome to transfer your booking to another person prior to the workshop commencing. Please confirm this arrangement in writing to workshop@artisan.org.au.
