    About Julie and Maurice Hillier:

Workshop tutors, Julie and Maurice Hillier, have been running Ministry of Handmade for over 6 years. Coming from a design background, they run contemporary textile workshops teaching traditional made-by-hand skills but with their own modern twist! They love teaching people new skills and helping them to develop confidence or a sense of self satisfaction. In a very fast-paced world where expediency is the order of the day, Julie and Maurice believe that slowing down and making something by hand is a great antidote to stress! Most Ministry of Handmade workshops are run from their Brisbane-based studios, but Julie and Maurice also love to travel and take their popular workshops to regional areas as well.
