About the workshop:

You've got a product, and you're ready to get selling! If you’ve got an idea and want to create an online store, this workshop will equip you with all the info you need, including:

  • Deciding which e-commerce platform will best meet your needs, including recommendations on whether Shopify, Etsy or Ebay are for you.
  • What you need and readying your store for it's first sales
  • Why your online store is only one shopfront, and what you can do in the real world to drive traffic online.
  • How to get your very first sale.
  • The importance of content, SEO and imagery.

eCommerce has levelled the playing field for entrepreneurs and made it easy for side-hustles, but that doesn’t mean if you built it, buyers will come. This workshop will step you through the basic ‘101’ of setting up your online store and teach you the importance of consistency, share tips and tricks to encourage sales and more. 

You’ll leave with an understanding of how to set up an online store, optimise your website for conversion. Attendees can submit their idea / website for review prior to the workshop to be used as real-life examples within the class. 

About Claire Deane:

Digital marketer, analytics geek and passionate educator, Claire leads the team at Deane & Co, a full service agency where marketing is personal.

In her career, to date, Claire has worked across a wide range of big and small brands from fashion, to food, digital platforms, yoga studios, educational institutions and more. She launched The Urban List across three Australian cities, developed Tourism & Events Queensland’s email marketing strategy and has developed social media strategies for the B Corp listed Kester Black.

Claire has presented workshops for Apple, General Assembly , the League of Extraordinary Women and more.

Workshop Cancellation Policy:

Please note this workshop can be cancelled for unforeseen circumstances or if minimum numbers are not reached. In this event participants will be refunded accordingly and as soon as possible.

Participant Cancellation Policy:

Workshops have limited spaces and involve preparation by the facilitator.

Bookings cancelled up to one week prior to the start of the workshop may be refunded, but a 20% non-refundable administration fee will be deducted.

Bookings cancelled within a week of the workshop commencing will NOT be refunded.

You are welcome to transfer your booking to another person prior to the workshop commencing. Please confirm this arrangement in writing to workshop@artisan.org.au.
