PENNY WILD : MAPPED
My practice involves the study of people within the built environment – as a group how do we negotiate our ‘places’? What systems and networks govern the choices we make when we move from one place to the next? What type of interactions take place? How do we use a place? How do we circulate with in it? What do we need to function efficiently? When is a place used and why? This installation makes a connection to site by mapping the activity within the adjacent intersection based on observations across a number of days. These clay forms geographically locate the users of the intersection in a vertical mud map.
